Moonlit Beach

We head down to the oceanside

Reach the calming breaking waves just before sunset

Turning we watch the sun dip behind the horizon

Arm in arm we watch the energizing display

Warm orange rays disappear beyond the horizon

Replaced by a mesmerizing pastel display

Twilight fades the colors as we walk along the shore

Holding hands along the relaxing breaking waves

Just as the color fades the moon peeks over the water

Captivating the eye, freezing us in place

Soft orange color moonlight replaces the darkening sky

As amazing as the beautiful sunset

We dance to the ethereal Moonlight Sonata

Sensual experience as the full moon rises higher

Eyes locked as our bodies squeeze into each other

Passionate kisses, immersing in each other

While quiet ocean sounds fuel the ecstasy

Two souls in union with each other and The Universe

Awaken suddenly from the amazing dream

Finding myself alone, I try to climb back into the dream

Unfortunately the rising sun has other plans for me

As I get myself ready for another day

I know in my heart she is waiting for me if I can just find her

I know I will find her; I feel her waiting for me

Running in the rain

Forest smells waft through the air

Awaking the soul

A haiku

Run in the warm sun

Contemplate life’s mysteries

Sensing nature’s dance

The First Snowfall

Eagerly anticipating the first winter snowfall

Watching the clouds cover the sky

Smell of winter in the air

And then the first snowflake flutters by

Then another, then two, then twenty

Then thousands as far as the eye can see

Dancing and frolicking in the air

Out of the millions and millions of sprites

Wonder if any two are a perfect match

Perhaps the beauty is there are no two the same

Mesmerized by the sparkling display

Out of the billions of scintillations

See one beautiful snowflake circle by

And yet another draw in from beyond

Although not perfect matches

They are perfect mirror images

Drawing closer and closer

And adjoining arm to arm

The pair even more beautiful together

Sailing among the other snowflakes

Finding completion

Searching for the Truth

What is the right belief

The truth that is the Truth

How do I teach my children

About matters beyond my grasp

The churchman says he knows the truth

Accept their rhetoric on faith

God is there if I follow their way

Why doesn’t this make sense

A different place a different truth

Not quite the same as the first

Who is right and who is wrong

Perhaps each knows a little of the whole

A little voice within begs stillness

Open my heart to the Spirit beyond

Feeling rightness to the repose

The message of unconditional love

Walk along the tranquil river

Feel the energy from the sun

Seeking out the forest coolness

Watch the water from the shore

Scintillating sparkles catch the eye

Peaceful love comes flooding in

At one with nature

Nature's Energy

Stirring in the early dawn

Mind racing in ten different directions

Resisting the need to awaken

Finally drag myself out of bed

Sun painting its good morning hues

Dress and head out for a hike

Walk slowly toward a wistful day

Two cardinals sing a joyful duet

Enter the darkness of the forest

Feel the coolness warm the heart

Woodpecker drums to a natural tune

Walking a bit faster to the rhythm

Scintillating sunlight greets the eye

Beams dancing with the wind

Forest infusing sharp awareness

Mind slowly starts to clear

Move with purpose on the path

Forest scents spark the senses

Arriving at the verdant meadow

Wildflowers paint the picture

Dancing into a brand new day

Nature sparks the soul to life

Peaceful calm powers the mind

Prepared to do amazing work

Being careful not to make waves

Politeness overruling feeling and passion

Walking cautiously on the frozen pond

Not wanting to slip stood frozen in place

And fell through the ice

There often is only one chance at something

And only this one life to live

Having the courage to skate with purpose

Would have made all the difference

So take a chance and let your light shine

Live where the passion resides

Relish the full spectrum of feelings

For life is a precious gift

And the universe deserves you

Who am I

What a profound question

Am I capable of answering this question?

Some say it is impossible to answer

Some say who cares

<Thinking>

I’m a hundred different things

A hundred thousand maybe

Can’t list them all here

Well I can be anything

My imagination wants to be

Is that good?

Is what I imagine the truth

What do others see?

Everyone’s list is different

Everyone has an opinion

And I often let that affect my self-view

And that also becomes what I am

How do I sort through all the contradictions?

All it does is leave me confused

So many different things

Maybe I am a collage of all of them?

Sounds right to me

Variety is good

I change day by day

Minute by minute

I have bad, good, ugly, beautiful, and amazing in me

I can choose what I visualize

I can choose good, beautiful, and amazing

And focus on that

I can choose to be something better

And strive for that

I can choose to act to better the world

And better the world

I can choose to learn

And learn I will

I can choose to live

For I am alive

I can choose to love

For love is our essence

I can choose to be

For I am I
